CH Christmas | A Christmas Poem 2021
We love putting smiles on faces and Christmas is usually the time when we make a video to do just that.
This year we wanted to take a step back and reflect upon the year with a thoughtful poem recited by all of us as selfie videos and written especially for CH Video by poet Ian McMillan

We recorded our words throughout the year and in various locations - you'll see all of us!
Can you hear my voice
Or am I frozen again?
Can you touch my hand
Or am I too far away?
Can you see my mask
Or should I take it off?
Are we standing apart?
Is this far enough?
Maybe. Maybe not.
But hold fast, hold tight
To that space
We all inhabit
Between darkness
and light
Hold on to the sound
Of people singing
When the storm
Has stopped talking to itself
Hold on
And all our shared memories
Will help us all
See the light
Will help us all
See the past
As just that. Yesterday
In history's trappings
And this is the present
Now it's time for unwrapping
And listen to that sound
It's the future, clapping
