£23,850k + pension scheme and 25 days holiday on top of bank holidays

CH Video is an award winning, creative production company based in Reading, Berkshire. We're a talented and creative group of video producers, directors, editors, motion graphics designers. All-round production specialists who love what we do and care about the stories we tell. 

 

For 20 years, we’ve been working with international brands and businesses to produce everything from short-form internal videos to large scale campaigns for social and TV. Our established client list proudly spans some of the most recognised brands and businesses in the world, including PepsiCo, King’s College London, Lindt, Edgewell and Krispy Kreme.

Our 13 strong in-house team is now on the lookout for a shiny new assistant. 

 

This is an entry level role but it’s a very important one. You’ll get your hands dirty and stuck in, working across multiple projects at once, supporting the team with ingesting footage, organising storyboard assets, sourcing props, and more. You’ll be expected to be super organised, eager to support the team and work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Admin & Pre-production

  • Provide general office admin support e.g. answer the phone, log team and company expenses, take notes at meetings, purchase supplies, manage databases, schedule and organise meetings 
  • Research talent, locations, stock footage, images and music 
  • Book freelancers, accommodation and travel 
  • Prepare production documents e.g. supplier paperwork, call sheets, risk assessments and schedules 
  • Draft quotes, proposals, storyboards, shot lists and vox pop questions with the help of a Producer
  • Prepare and organise supplied video assets 
  • Source props 
  • Liaise with clients e.g. manage enquiries and small scale projects 
  • Contribute to client proposals and team brainstorms with your own creative ideas 


Production

  • Manage production admin e.g. talent consent forms
  • Perform general running duties e.g. load and unload cars, collect kit from suppliers, organise crew lunches 
  • Assist with shots, lighting & camera kit rigs/de-rigs 
  • Direct simple vox pops shoots

 

Post Production

  • Process and synchronise incoming footage, create proxies
  • Organise and rough cut footage in Adobe Premiere Pro ready for editors 
  • Edit vox pops and webcasts
  • Subtitle and re-version videos for different formats and languages
  • Cut out logos and artwork using Adobe Photoshop

Essential

  • Degree educated or equivalent 
  • Minimum of six months professional experience within the creative industry or other relevant roles 
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop & InDesign 
  • Experienced user of Mac OS 
  • Experience of working on video shoots and in an office environment 
  • A wider passion for all things creative, within the creative industry and beyond 
  • Organised with a high attention to detail 
  • Team player, adaptable and positive 
  • Ability to follow direction, multitask and keep your cool 
  • Eager to learn and continually improve the way you work 
  • Full UK driving licence 
  • Car ownership / access 

 

Desirable

  • Experience of using cameras (e.g. Sony FX6, FS7, A7S)
