£21,500 - £23,000 (depending upon experience)

CH Video is a full service, creative production company in Reading, Berkshire.

We're a talented and creative group of video producers, directors, editors and motion graphics designers. All-round production specialists who love what we do and care about the stories we tell. For over 18 years, we’ve been working with international brands and businesses to produce everything from short-form internal videos to large scale campaigns for social and TV. Our client list proudly spans some of the most recognised brands and businesses in the world, including PepsiCo, King's College London, Lindt, Thames Water and Krispy Kreme.

This is an entry level role but it’s a very important one. You’ll get your hands dirty in our edit suite, working across multiple projects at once, supporting the team with ingesting footage, organising storyboard assets, assembling first edits, and more. You’ll be expected to be super organised, eager to support the team and work efficiently. You’ll also need to be technically minded and adept with the Adobe Creative Suite, proficient in Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and synchronise incoming footage, create proxies 
  • Create rough cuts and first edits in Premiere Pro ready for editors 
  • Edit vox pops and webcasts 
  • Edit content and create GIFs for CH’s social channels 
  • Subtitle and re-version videos for different formats and languages 
  • Research stock footage, images and sound effects 
  • Prepare and organise supplied video assets 
  • Support producers with ad-hoc requests, e.g. purchase supplies, source props 
  • Cut out logos and artwork using Photoshop 
  • Manage and update the hard drive database and backups 
  • Handle freelancer files and flag any errors 
  • Perform general running duties e.g. load and unload vehicles, collect kit from suppliers, assisting with setting up kit on shoots

Job Specifics:  

  • Multitask and communicate proactively to manage work from across the team 
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail, ensuring that file management is to a high standard 
  • Lookout for new video styles and techniques to share across the team 
  • Be a problem-solver and eager to develop, learn new skills to continually improve the way you work 
  • Contribute to client proposals and team brainstorms with your own creative ideas 
  • Work with relevant team members to plan ahead and post relevant content on CH’s social media channels 


Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Personal Qualities:

  • Degree educated or equivalent 
  • Minimum six months work experience within the creative industry or other relevant roles 
  • Good knowledge of Premiere Pro and Photoshop 
  • Experienced user of macOS 
  • A wider passion for all things creative, within the creative industry and beyond 
  • Ability to problem solve and fix technical issues 
  • Organised with a high attention to detail 
  • Team player, adaptable and positive 
  • Ability to follow direction, multitask and keep your cool 
  • Eager to learn and continually improve the way you work 
  • Full UK driving licence 
  • Car ownership / access

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of After Effects
