We’re looking for a talented Motion Graphics Designer who loves nothing better than creating ‘work that wows’ to join our growing team of 12 video experts at our Reading office.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Creating high quality motion graphics and animation projects that deliver against client expectations, comfortably working across a wide range of video styles e.g., adverts, documentaries, graphics-based explainer videos 
  • Contributing to client proposals and brainstorms with your own fresh creative ideas
  • Following storyboards with ease and add creativity and sparkle to every job
  • Creating static concepts and design style frames, animations, or other visual elements from initial idea through to delivery, working within client brand guidelines when necessary 
  • Maintaining and promoting high standards of visual and audio quality, file organisation and colour correction within every project 
  • Collaborating closely with other creatives both internally and freelance to share and manage projects
  • Multitasking and communicating proactively to ensure workload is managed efficiently across the team
  • Being actively aware of new video production styles and techniques to share across the team
  • Being a problem-solver and eager to develop, learning new skills to continually improve the way you work
  • Advising on motion design solutions and creative approaches to solve client briefs 
  • Managing realistic time scales for a variety of work and handling the expectations of the team 


Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Personal Qualities:


Essential

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • 4+ years industry experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • An in-depth knowledge of animation techniques and processes
  • Good graphic design skills including a strong focus on typography, colour theory and composition
  • An interest in trending design styles
  • Experience with 3D, in particular Cinema 4D
  • Knowledge of tracking and screen replacement using Mocha 
  • Proficient user of MacOS 
  • Great at problem-solving and fixing technical issues 
  • Highly organised with an exceptional attention to detail 
  • Team-player with excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask, follow direction and work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure with a positive, flexible and creative attitude 
  • Full UK driving licence and car ownership / access 

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience with 3rd party plug-ins (ie; Limber, Rubber Hose, Duik Bassel) 
  • Working knowledge of Da Vinci Resolve and MS Office 365 
  • Good sound design skills
